Xiaomi has unveiled Redmi K30 5G which only costs 1999 yuan ($285). The pricing makes it the cheapest 5G phone in the market. K30 rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chipset. This chipset comes with the integrated 5G modem (Snapdragon X52) and is aimed towards the mid-range 5G phones in the market.
Redmi K30 5G also features the display with 120 Hz refresh rate, which will deliver the smoothest user experience. The phone also has a punch-hole cutout that houses the dual front cameras with 20 MP main sensor.
The rear camera setup features a quad-camera with Sony’s newest 64 MP IMX686 sensor. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh with support for 30W fast charging. The phone also comes with a cheaper 4G variant ($225) intended for the markets with non-existent 5G penetration.
It’s really a good gesture to see a mid-range 5G phone launching before the end of 2019. This promises the faster technology adoption in coming years.
