Apple is about to unveil new iPhones at a special event this Tuesday. All iPhone models in the new lineup are expected to feature 5G. With 5G networks growing in North America and everywhere across the world, Apple needs to make all of its upcoming products 5G-ready to maintain its premium status. There are more 5G options than ever in the smartphone market of 2020, in premium, mid-range and even budget segments.
Many of the US telcos are waiting for a 5G iPhone as it will drive the consumer interest hence justifying the heavy investment to be done for the deployment of next-gen network. 5G deployments all over the globe are expected to pick a pace after 5G-capable iPhone arrives in the market.
According to the rumors, the iPhone 12 (?) lineup is going to be the most significant product cycle since iPhone 6 and will comprise of devices with four different sizes, rather than three. Entry-level models are expected to support only sub-6 frequencies of 5G and mmWave frequencies will be exclusive to Pro models. The lineup will also adopt a new look and design, which already makes it the most exciting iPhone launch ever.
